Our Inspiration!

This site was inspired by frogs - animals I loved since a young child.

My name is Didi Virden Raxworthy and I am the wife of Dr. Chris Raxworthy an Associate Curator of Herpetology and a frog research specialist. Chris and I met in Madagascar searching the rain forests for all kinds of beautiful reptiles and amphibians and fell in love while photographing one of my favorite frogs, the famous Madagascan Tomato Frog.

Chris and I, and our two boys Timothy and George, search for frogs and toads wherever we go, our latest find during our family vacation in the S. of France -- just metamorphosed Common Toadlets. They were adorable, brown and tiny, about 1.5 cm in length When available, I will post photos of our finds on the site, and in our future newsletters.
